Some big changes are happening around here.

I’m going back to work.

That’s right. A real job like a real grownup.

An opportunity presented itself that I couldn’t turn down, so I’ll be going back to a day job for the first time in almost a decade.

But what does that mean for all this stuff?

When I started chasing the writing dream, I referred to myself as a writer by night. So Here we go again.

Books

I hope that it will mean more books. It’s a big part of why I took the job. My output has slowed in the last couple of years. I look forward to changing that. With steady work, I can worry less about marketing, promotions and everything else that’s not writing and focus on actually writing. I’m halfway through Duck and Cover Book 6 and loving it. And I’ve got several other things outlined. For the first time in a while, I should be able to focus on making books instead of selling them.

Streaming

Sadly, another change is that A Billion Bad Ideas is ending. I’ll miss chatting with the guys each week. But I do plan to keep streaming on Twitch with something called Writer by Night. I’ll be streaming these writing sessions a few nights a week. I also set some time aside in each stream to answer questions.

I’m also planning on having guests on from time to time. Clayton and Luna could turn up, and I want to make sure other writers get to play. If you want on, email me and let me know.

Cons

We’re not sure what this all means for our con schedule yet. We are planning on doing FanExpo in Dallas again next year. And I’m planning on being at Pensacon, DragonCon, Salt Lake and some others with Bard’s Tower. As far as the rest, we’ll have to see what falls into place.

Thank you all for all of your support over the years. The fun isn’t over yet. It’s just going to happen a little later in the day.

FREE AUDIOBOOK

I want to give you an audiobook.

It's a collection of short stories about time travel, alien invasions, selling homes in alternate dimensions, giant combiner robots, post-apocalyptic beagles and much more. And it's all read by the amazing Phil Thron.

It's yours when you sign up for my newsletter.
